BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
This is a stone sundial set into the brick wall of the house between two small second floor windows and is protected by a stone capping piece with lead flashing. The full length hour lines, half hour lines and the other dial furniture are incised and painted black.
The dial has Roman numerals and the format IV is used for 4pm. It shows hours from 8am to 6pm although the hour lines are not accurately delineated; the 6pm line is not horizontal and the 8am hour line is marked VII. The gnomon has a nodus but there are no declination lines. The hour lines radiate from the outer of two semicircles at the root of the gnomon.
