BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

Motto around the periphery reads: "Set me right and use me well and I ye time to you will tell". Floral décor in centre with 8-arc petal like border to the compass. Dial scale follows the 8-arc petal format and shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks. Numerals read from outside the dial. Set on leaning square section pedestal (with inscriptions) and with square capital and base.
