BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary the Virgin Church, Gislingham

Remains of painted sundial on church tower, with black markings on a white painted brick ground. Shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. The rusty iron bar gnomon has a single ’S’ shaped supporter. A date of 1910 is split across the bottom corners, possibly the most recent re-paint.
