BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Town Hall (old), Gravesend

The dial is located in a passageway at the rear of the Old Town Hall, and on the approach to Borough Market. The dates of nearby obscuring buildings suggest that it predates 1836. The motto reads: ’Hoc Age’ (’Be diligent’). Note the ’cross patty’ for noon.
