BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

This is a nicely made dial. It shows hours IIII - XII - IIII - VIII with a noon gap, read from outside and divided to 30, 15 and 5 minutes. Inward stylised fleurs de lys show half hours. The dial is in the churchyard, set on a plain baluster pedestal with a square capital and plinth.
