BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

Unusually, the dial face is carved into the top of the capital stone. Shows 5am to 7pm in hours. Uses XII and IV, with numerals viewed from the south. Slot for missing gnomon. Set on simple baluster pedestal with square capital and plinth and two step base. Memorial dial with the first burial dated 1943.
