BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Quayside, Westport

A good simple dial, with motto: "Sic Transit Gloria Mundi". It is inscribed "To the memory of the Westport Quay Dockers who sat here on the idle wall. Erected by the Westport Harbour Commissioners 1990". It shows 4am to 8pm in half and quarter hours, using XII and IIII, read from the South, with a Noon gap. Set, overhanging, on a circular stone plinth 300h.
