BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Monaghan

This is one of two dials in the private collection of Vincent McAree of Ballinode, 8Km north-west of Monaghan Town on the R186. It shows 4am to 8pm using XII and IIII, the numerals read from inside the dial, with 30, 15 and 5 minute marks. Half hours have crossed arrows and there is a noon gap. The gnomon is slightly bent. An inscription at the south, read from the north, reads: "This diall erected Anno 1747 / William Sandys Esq". The design latitide is N53° 40’.
