This four ring armillary sphere probably shows 4am to 8pm in half and quarter hours. The Meridian ring is divided into 5 and 10 degree intervals. The gnomon takes the form of an upwards arrow with head and flight feathers. The whole is supported by four dolphins, on a 450mm diam stone step, 1350mm high.
