BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is found in the Stables Courtyard. The motto reads: "Laus Deo", and inscriptions are: "I have considered the days of old and the years that have past." and "Whilst Phoebus on me shines then view my shade and lines". The upper face is marked March-September and has lines for 5am to 7pm; the lower face September-March, with lines for 5am to 7pm. There is an EoT Plaque, with a note to add 34 mins for longitude.
