BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Rowallane Garden [NT], Saintfield

The dial is between the house and the walled garden. The motto reads: "Cedamus Phoebo et Moniti Meliora Sequamur" (Yield to Phoebus and pursue better things - Virgil). The dial shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 10, 5 and 2 min marks, with half hours marked by lines ending in diamonds. Uses XII and IIII with the numerals read from outside the dial. There is a crest with "Virtutis Amore". Scroll/circle supporter to gnomon. Set on octagonal column with no capital but with a large circular plinth.
