BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hertfordshire

Inscription reads: "This sundial and the restoration of these memorials is the gift of their descendant Nigel Rideout". Shows V - XII - IIII - V, read from outside the dial and with a noon gap, and divided to half and quarter hours. Half hours are marked by inward lines with thickening at the inner end where they meet a circle. Lat/Long at north inner edge, compass at gnomon root. Date May 2002. Set on white slender baluster pedestal with square capital and base.
