BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Old Kiln, Lane End

Black metal numerals and hour lines can be seen on a white-paihted wall above the front door. The rod gnomon has its origin in a black sunburst. The dial, which declines east, shows the hours VI to II undivided but noon appears as IIX. The delineation is faulty and so this dial fails as a timekeeper. It is probably a 20th century production.
