BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Buckinghamshire

This is a very unusual ornamental dial wrongly delineated, with embossed furniture and a false date of 1707. The motto reads: "Tempus Fugit Irreparabile". Roman numerals are arranged as on a clock face between 7am and 5pm, using XII and IIII and read from the outside. There is an incorrect compass-like device in centre. The dial commemorates the gift of the burial ground by Wm Walker of Longwick.
