BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Hengrave Hall (1), Hengrave

The dial is in the patio garden, set on a lovely baluster pedestal with vertical flutes and acanthus bowl, circular top and a square two step base. It shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks. Uses IIII and XII. Numerals read from outside the dial. Noon gap but with one 7.5 min mark in the centre. Hour lines drawn through numerals. The gnomon has two parallel lines on both sides at front edge and has a sigmoidal rear edge.
