BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Black furniture on white ground. Date at top centre. Gnomon is mounted vertically but hour lines and the only two remaining numerals appear inconsistent. The Horizon line is numbered V and VI. No other numerals exist. There are 15 morning lines and 13 afternoon lines, all full length and strangely spaced. It seems the dial has probably been wrongly repainted in the past. This dial is reproduced (with many of its failings) on a kneeler in the church dated 1987 so this appears to be a long standing error. Rod gnomon and supporter. Tip of gnomon is curled upwards into a spiral.
