BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

This nicely engraved stone dial commemorates the 20 years of the twinning of the town with Belleme. It was a gift from the French in 2002 and carries the crests of the two towns at the top. The inscription reads ’Goring on Thames 20 Ans Belleme.’ It appears to be a vertical south dial showing the hours VI - VI undivided but the short arrow-headed gnomon makes it appear that the dial declines to the east. The hour lines are equally spaced round the chapter ring which means that the dial is incorrectly delineated. It measures about 1000mm high by 915mm wide.
