BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

Motto reads: "Sic Vita". Shows 4am to 8pm in half and quarter hours. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from outside the dial. Noon gap. Circle at gnomon root and another, centred on dial plate midway to chapter ring. Three hole fixing but with pm hour side lifted and bent along the line from 3pm to South end. Set on ’severe’ square section stone pedestal with square top and base on three step plinth. Located in ’New’ section of the churchyard.
