BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex
Motto reads: "Horas Non Numero Nisi Serenas". Date on dial 1635 (probably date of house). Pedimented dialplate made from nine T&G boards with black furniture on white ground. Apex of pediment curved inwards concave shape. Stylised sun below apex with root below that. Gnomon mounted on floral boss with hour lines emanating from the centre of the boss rather than the root of the gnomon. Shows 7am to 7pm in hours. Uses XII and IV. Delineation suspect. 7pm line above the horizon. Mounted on brick wall but supports giving way and dial hanging loose.
