BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

Horizontal sundial set on a cylindrical pedestal having spiral fluting. The sundial indicates the time from 5am to 7pm in 30, 15 and 5 minute markings, the hours being shown with Roman numerals. The sturdy gnomon has two semicircular side supports and a curved back edge. Around the gnomon there is an 8-point compass rose. A motto reads: "With warning hand I mark time’s rapid flight from life’s glad morning to its solemn night, yet through the dear God’s love I also show there’s light above me by the shade below."
