BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Rosemary, East Bergholt

Motto reads: "Sol Est Lux et Gloria Mundi". This encircling the compass. Date of 1705 at South. Floral spandrels. House built in 1927 and dial installed then. Square plate with raised date but engraved furniture. Compass at centre. Shows 5am to 7pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from outside the dial. Noon gap. Open gnomon with ’D’ like supporter. Tip ends in blob. Four hole fixing.
