BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Oxfordshire

Motto reads: "Tempus Fugit". Embossed furniture. Shows 5am to 7pm in hours. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from inside the chapter ring. Gnomon root at far south of dialplate. Leaf style piercing to gnomon. Rope banding around outer edge of dialplate. Upper end of gnomon bent nearly to a quarter of a circle. Circular section tapering (upwards) column with circular capital and base. Inscription around capital reads: "Life is for love - Time is for God". On the upper surface of the base is inscribed: "Reverend BR Bax 1908-1990" Similar but not quite identical to SRN 4512 which uses IV.
