BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Oxfordshire

The motto reads: "L’Heure Passe, L’Amitie Reste" and there is a false date of 1805. The dial shows 4am to 8pm in hours, using XII and IV, the numerals read from outside the dial. The motto and ’date’ in shield are at the south. Floral supporter to gnomon. The dial appears to be cast aluminium, with all furniture in relief. It is a memorial to Paul Clements d 1977 and his wife Margaret d 1993.
