BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Little Germains, Chesham

On the side of the base of an octagonal lantern on the roof is a rectangular vertical dial of painted metal which declines 40° east. The date 1774 appears in the arched top and there are fluted pilasters at the sides. It shows the hours Ivam - Vpm divided into halves and quarters in black on a white ground. The root of the thin rod gnomon lies to the east of centre of the semicircle surrounding it.
