BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Rectangular vertical dial on a ledge overlooking the road.
The dial has white-infilled lines and numerals on a slightly arched Cotswold stone. It is canted so as to face due south. There are full length hour lines and half (and quarter?) hour marks in a chapter ring. The Arabic hour numerals are largely upright with a hint of alignment with the hour lines. 2pm has ’II’ which seems to be a mistake.
The date in the arch reads: ’MDCCXCVIII’ (1798).
The bar gnomon with a single straight supporter.
