BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gloucestershire
Motto reads: "Time is Money". Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks. Uses XII and IIII, Split noon. Numerals read from outside the dial. Elaborately pierced gnomon set to bisect the flats of the octagon. Compass is centred on gnomon root and the two phoenixes face each other across the gnomon line. Dial was originally on a low pedestal but was moved to its present ’celebrity’ location (mounted vertically!) after a German parachutist broke his jaw landing on the dial in WW2.
