BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial House (Snowden Accountants), Hook Norton

The stone vertical dial declinng 37° east is clamped to the brick wall between two upper windows and is about 915mm square. The date 1766 appears in the semicircle below the gnomon root which itself is surrounded by a sun. It shows the hours IV - IV divided into halves and X is used to mark noon. The numerals are upright though the I of 9am and 1pm slope so as to align with their hour lines.The hour lines start from the circle around the gnomon root; they together with the rest of the dial furniture are gilded.
