BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Oxfordshire

One of a set of four made by Rowley, held in store. Reported first as known to exist but then dramatically re-discovered at the 2004 BSS Conference. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 7,5 and (numbered in Arabic 10s) 10, 5 and 1 min marks. Numerals read from inside the dial . Noon gap. Altitude scales on either side of the gnomon. Arc with EoT Watch Faster/Slower details. Stereographic grid. Declination lines to 1 deg. Ecliptic labelled with zodiac and degrees of celestial longitude. Two rings blank or possibly with calendar. Elaborate c/arms to South. Pedestal awaiting the dial is an octagonal fluted baluster pedestal with stylised acanthus décor.
