BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

SS Michael & Martin’s Church, Blyth

Over South porch. Rectangular metal dialplate set on pedimented backing and secured thereon by 16 screws. Substantial bar gnomon with single supporter. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours. Full length hour lines also drawn through the chapter ring and numerals. Uses XII and IIII. Noon gap. Numerals drawn vertically but yet aligned with the hour lines so side numerals appear sloping. Some evidence of a semicircle some way out from root.
