BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

The only Double Horizontal dial known by Edmund Culpepper senior. It shows times of noon at various cities and has age scales for use as a moon dial. There are altitude scales for the Sun. It shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 7.5, 5 and 1 min (numbered in Arabic 10s). It uses XII and IIII and has a Noon gap. Numerals are read from inside the dial. Three dot half hour markers. The compass directions are reversed to be read by the shadow. The very fine divisions are wearing away. Extra-ordinarily long gnomon tail. Located in central raised structure in front of the house. On an octagonal stone pedestal 1270 high with decorated capital, mounted on steps and surrounded by four stone lions.
