BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Dorothy Clive Garden, Blackbrook

The dial is on the Sundial Terrace below the tea room, set on a smooth baluster pedestal with octagonal top and square plinth. It is a memorial to John E Harthill. It shows 5am to 7pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks. It uses XII and IV with numerals read from inside the dial. There is an EoT graph curved to fit the chapter ring layout. The design Latitude is given as N5230. Scroll piercing to gnomon. [NB The postal address of this garden is in Shropshire but it is actually in Staffordshire].
