BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary the Virgin’s Church, Whaddon

The dial is on the right hand side of the porch. It is a non operational dial stone, though some lines and numerals are visible. It may be a declining dial or one wrongly delineated since there is ’space’ for lines earlier than 6am. Currently shows 7am to 3pm. No gnomon. The dial stone appears to have been reused. The porch was erected in 19thC and this may be the date when the dial was moved.
