BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Somerset

The dial is in the rear garden. It shows 6am to 6pm in hours, using XII and IV. Upwards arrow gnomon with head and flight external to ring. Set on ’acorn’ support on cylindrical fluted pedestal (1200h) with circular capital and square plinth. No nodus. Makers name on equatorial ring. Reported to be twisted in an attempt to show BST.
