BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Peter & Paul’s Church., Long Compton

An 18th century vertical stone sundial is sited on the church porch. It declines 5° West and shows the hours from VII - VI in half and quarter hours. Uses cross for Noon and (probably) IIII. Few numerals now visible. Rectangle of stone missing under gnomon supporter. Evidence that hour lines cross part of this rectangle suggesting that a plaque may have been sited there at one time. Simple strip gnomon with single supporter. Possible lettering across the dial plate top. This may end in a date ?VII. There are also three mass dials on the church.
