BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church of St Mary, Yate

Panel on South wall. SAXON dial. (Registered also in Mass Dial Register). No gnomon - though it would have been horizontal. Dial in the form of a semi-circle held by an angel. The whole inset into the wall. ’Hour lines’ tell of the times of the services.
