BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Sussex (W)

Mottos read: "Jure Non Favore" (Right not favour) and "Per Fluctus Ad Oram" (Through the waves to the shore). Declination lines for 3 anniversaries. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 5min divs. 3-dot half hour markers. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from outside the dial. Noon gap with name of farm in the gap. Two c/Arms in spandrels with mottoes in the other. Gnomon pierced with intertwined initials of recipients incl a heart. Two semi circular gnomon side supports. Nodus is of the ’W’ notch variety. Engraving is black wax filled.
