BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Berkshire

Dial made as a wedding present. Decl lines indicate anniversaries. Azimuth for Aylesbury and Manchester. C/arms of Rowntree family. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks. Inward three dot half hour markers. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from outside the dial. Noon gap. Maker, date, Lat & Long in spandrels. Four hole secure fixing. Gnomon supporter in form of initials of bride & groom.
