BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

The dial fills a large gable of the house, using black furniture on a white render. It shows 7am to 4pm in half hours, using XII and IV, the numerals read from below. The hour lines are drawn to an invisible circle around the gnomon root. The rod gnomon (without any additional supporter) emerges from a small circular boss. The motto at the bottom reads: "Carpe Horam", and the date at the top is ’MM’.
