BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

This dial is Inset into a cylindrical rough stone cairn-like pedestal, 1200mm high. In the southern section is a map of the Beara peninsula, showing the location of the dial and the direction of sunset on 31 Dec 1999. It was commissioned by the National Millennium Committee to mark the last light in Ireland on that day. It shows 6am to 6pm GMT and 7am to 7pm CET [both corrected for longitude]. XII and IIII are used for noon and 4pm, and there is a Noon gap to accommodate the wide gnomon. Above the map is an EOT graph, showing dial Fast/Slow.
