BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Kirk, Linton

The dial is on the south-west corner of the Kirk. The motto around three sides of the pedestal reads: "My days are like a shadow that declineth". Only hours 10am and 1pm remain on SE face, in half hours; some hour figures visible up to 9pm in half hours on SW face. The two dials face 120 deg and 210 deg. The other two faces are blank. Solid sheet gnomons variously described as of lead and of brass. Restored and placed in present position in 1912.
