BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Oxfordshire

The dial slab is mounted in a stone frame with wide grooves at the side, at first floor level. The motto reads ’You may waste but cannot kill me’. The dial shows 6am to 5pm in half and quarter hours, using XII and IIII, the numerals aligned to the hour lines, which are drawn fully to a semicircle at the gnomon root. The gnomon has three straight parallel supporters.
