BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Kent

Known to be designed by Hogben but made by a London maker, possibly Thos Wright since all 17 cities on this dial match those on Wright’s dial at Lacock. However the fonts are not identical and the half hour markers differ. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 10, 7.5, and 2 min marks. Uses XII and IIII. Noon gap. Numerals read from the outside. Hour lines extend through numerals. Half hours marked by fleurs de lys. EoT Watch slower faster scale of months and minutes ( seconds mentioned at min/max for Jan and July). Zeroes at April 4th, June 6th, Aug 20 and Dec 12. Inner and Outer ring of place names accompanied by XII to indicate that it is the time at Noon in those cities and with a scribed line in the centre of the XII to indicate the precise time. Sturdy gnomon with elaborate rear edge akin to his other dial (SRN 0406) at Leeds Castle. More precise record of details in archive.
