BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

The dial is made from 12 tiles and a copper rod gnomon. It shows 7am to 6pm (BST) in hours and half hours. A nodus allows the display of declination and lines mark birthdays and an anniversary. There is a gold sun at the root. Black hour lines with arrow heads, fainter half hours all full length. White declination lines all on blue ground.
