BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cornwall

This is a commercial attempt at a dial though incorrectly delineated. The plate shows VI - XII - IV - VI by means of raised numerals but they are radially aligned and wrongly spaced. The rim has named zodiac symbols and there is an 8-point compass rose in the centre. The gnomon has broken off. The dial is set on a square section granite block 900mm high which may have held an earlier dial.
