BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Yorkshire (W)

The incised stone dial is located under a tree. It shows 7am to 7pm in hours. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from inside the dial. Dialplate repaired along the Noon line. Set on fat (460 a/f) octagonal column on circular two step base. 1500h approx. Single fixing cast gnomon dated 1910 with integral collar; restored by a Langstroths of the USA. A Grade II listed dial, there described as probably C17.
