BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Yorkshire (W)

The dial is set high under the gable coping over the door, and resting end-on on the window drip moulding. It shows 6am to 6pm in hours, using XII and IIII. The numerals are aligned with the hour lines and read from outside the dial. The bar gnomon has a scroll supporter. The OS reference is approximate
