BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gloucestershire

The dial is in the rear garden, on the upper lawn, mounted on a cast ’stone’ waisted pedestal 480h. It has a fixed height gnomon and ball finial with five coloured monthly scales each of which run through 24 hours. There are scales for Nov/Dec (black), Oct/Feb (blue), Sep/Mar (green), Aug/Apri (yellow), May/Jul (red). The shadow of the ball indicates the date and time. Only hours are marked.
