BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Allen Gallery, Alton

No dial details of the dial are recorded - further information requested. It is in the courtyard garden, set on a slender baluster pedestal with square capital and plinth, from the old London Bridge which was re-built by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London. This bridge was replaced in 1831 and demolished the following year, and the stone baluster was presented to the museum by Alderman James Curtis, an uncle of the museum’s founder.
