BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Shrublands Hall, Coddenham

The dial is on the terrace, E of the tower. It is octagonal, with the N-S line orthogonal to the sides. It shows 4am to 8pm in half and quarter hours, and in 10, 5 and 1min marks on outside these numbered in 10s (Arabic). Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from inside the dial. Coat of arms at South. Gnomon pierced with floral ’S’ supporter. Set on an elegant limestone baluster pedestal with acanthus décor.
