BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Kent

The gnomon is missing from this dial, inset into the top of a wide low column in the churchyard. The cardinal compass points are at the corners, with the maker’s name at the north, and churchwardens names Thomas Baker and John Bolden, and the date 1783, at the south. The east and west corners give details of the gift of the pedestal by Richard Hart, Vestry Clerk, in 1863.
